Chemistry Solver AI

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Chemistry Solver AI mobile application ("App", "we", "our") available on the Apple App Store. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the App's functionality:

• Photos & Images: When you photograph a chemistry problem, the image is sent to our AI processing service to generate a solution. Images are not stored permanently on our servers beyond the time required to produce a result.
• Usage History: Solved problems are saved under a local anonymous user ID so you can review your history within the App. This ID is device-generated and not linked to any personally identifiable information.
• Subscription Status: We use Apple's StoreKit to verify your subscription. We do not store payment information; all billing is handled by Apple.
• Analytics & Crash Data: Anonymous, aggregated usage analytics and crash reports may be collected via third-party SDKs (see Section 4) to improve app stability.

3. Camera & Photo Library Access

The App requests access to your device's camera and optionally your photo library solely to capture or select chemistry problem images.

• Images are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our AI backend.
• Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
• We never share your images with advertising networks or data brokers.
• You can revoke camera or photo library permission at any time in Settings → Privacy.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• History data is stored on our servers linked to your anonymous device ID. You can delete individual history entries directly within the App or delete all data by contacting us.
• Uploaded images are retained only for the duration of AI processing (typically a few seconds) and are then discarded.
• Anonymous analytics are retained for up to 12 months in aggregated form.
• To request complete deletion of all data associated with your device ID, email us at contact@umutbozdag.com.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Receive your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out: Opt out of any analytics data collection by adjusting your device settings.

8. Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect data at rest and in transit. No system is 100% secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to contact@umutbozdag.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a prominent notice within the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
